DESCRIPTION:Sunday School Essentials Conferences are FREE* two-day events that equip participants to revitalize their Bible study ministries by learning: \n• principles for growing a healthy Sunday School\n• best practices for enlisting and training workers\n• the eight signposts that indicate your group members are growing as disciples\n• and more! \nPlus\, participants will develop a plan of action they can implement upon returning to their churches. \nThe sessions are led by Ken Braddy\, Lifeway’s Director of Sunday School. Ken has 25+ years of experience leading education ministries in the local church and has led two churches to become the fastest-growing churches in two different states. He is an author\, blogger\, and conference leader. \nRegistration is limited\, so sign up soon if you’re interested. Attendees receive a conference notebook\, Bible\, and three books related to Sunday School leadership – Breathing Life into Sunday School\, Building a Disciple-making Ministry\, and Breakthrough Creating a New Scorecard for Group Ministry Success. SUMMARY:Next Generation Conference
DESCRIPTION:If you aren’t able to join us at a livestream site or in person today for the Next Gen conference\, please join us at 10am at live.alsbom.org.\n  \nThis conference is for pastors\, discipleship pastors\, student pastors\, children’s ministers and preschool ministers who are looking for methods to aid in the ministering to the Gen Z and Gen Alpha population groups. Dr. Shelly Melia\, Associate Dean and Program Director for the Master of Arts in Children’s Ministry and the Master of Arts in Family Ministry at Dallas Baptist University will lead the conference. \nDr. Melia has spoken at national conferences such as ETCH Family Ministry Conferences\, D6 Family Ministry Conference and the Children’s Pastor’s Conference. In addition\, she is a frequent speaker for local churches and state conventions in Oklahoma\, Texas\, Georgia\, Louisiana and Missouri. Most recently\, she contributed a chapter titled “The Role of Faith or Spirituality in a Child’s Response to Grief and Loss” to the new book Bridging Theory and Practice in Children’s Spirituality. She has led webinar presentations for International Children’s Ministries\, Gender Identity and Kids\, Helping Families in Crisis and Leadership Trends and Transitions. \nThe cost of the event is $20 per person which includes lunch.\nYou won’t want to miss it! \n  \nThis event is available as in person event at the State Board of Missions in Prattville or through a simultaneous livestream site.
